Getting Here  

 

Since Telluride is fairly secluded from other mountain towns, there really is only one way into and out of Telluride: CO-145.  The drive on 145 offers plenty of mountain and bluff views with beautiful mountain streams, red rocks, valleys, and wildflowers along the way. However, this drive can also be somewhat treacherous in the winter months without  an all-wheel  drive vehicle. From Montrose, follow US-550 south toward Ridgway and continue on to Highway 62 and then to CO-145. There is an option to fly right into Telluride through Mountain Village if you are willing to pay a premium on airfare for added convenience. Activities & Things to Do in Telluride

 

While skiing is perhaps one of the most popular activities in Telluride during the winter, there are still plenty of activities for the entire family all year long. Bridal Veil Falls is a well-known local attraction that is over 1,000 ft. elevation gain from town and consists of a stunning 365-foot high waterfalls. There are also plenty of other waterfalls that can be seen from this area so be sure to bring your camera. Telluride is also famous for its music festivals, with the Telluride Bluegrass Festival being the most popular. After a day of fun outside, visitors will find plenty of quaint shops in downtown Telluride. From coffee shops and spice shops to boutiques and a variety of restaurants, Telluride has something to please everyone.
